Promises, Promises.

What promises are you waiting on God to fulfill?

What sacrifices have you made that can sometime feel like they were done in vain?

Do you ever feel like you are looking foolish to those around you, that think your belief in this certain promise is completely over the top?

But you know God said it, so it has to come to pass.
You just don’t know why it’s taking so long.😔

Yeah, I know what you mean.

If we were to be totally honest with ourselves, our faith is not always at 100% every minute of every day. But thank God, our Father doesn’t hold it against us and remembers we merely come from dust.

This is why we need Him. Not just some of the time, but ALL THE TIME.

For every truth that is planted in us by God, Satan has cooked up a scheming and deceitful lie that’s in total opposition to it. He can’t wait to tell us who we can’t be or what we can’t do or what won’t happen. But he’s a liar and there is no truth in him.

So, when we feel those old lies resurfacing, we should be drawing even closer to the Father. There’s no better comfort than His.

But if you’re being tested in the way that I’m being tested, God is waiting for you to ENCOURAGE YOURSELF. To show that you are becoming stronger and wiser, ready to handle that specific promise. He has to be able to trust us with it.

Would you give your 3 year old a car to drive? I hope not. The outcome could be detrimental.

I always tell people being Christian is not for the weak minded, impatient, or disloyal but for the brave. Sure, you’ll have moments of weakness but if you are constantly looking for a quick fix and not ready to work and be tested you will be very disappointed.

Yet, even in our waiting, fighting and patient striving toward the mark, God gives us these nuggets of wisdom, growth, revelation and blessings throughout the entire process.

This journey with Jesus never ceases to amaze me. I have many testimonies and that’s what keeps me going and reminds me that God is faithful and will fulfill every promise, regardless of what it looks like.

Honey Do’s By Tracy:
Nothing combats the enemy’s lies like the Word of God. When we hear anything in our mind or from someone else’s lips that contradict the promises God has given us, we should recite scripture and meditate on it. This is also a way to receive answers to any questions we may have.

Jesus leads us through the Word. If we are not reading, listening and/or reciting, it can seem impossible to hear from Him. We may even feel disconnected and tend to grow worrisome and fearful. And that’s not of God. That kind of mindset is the devil’s playground.

Here are some scriptures to remember and stand on:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:7‭-‬9 KJV

He has not forgotten our sacrifice. He’s planning the perfect surprise just for us, at the right moment. Don’t give up… keep going!

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV

He knows all and sees all. He understands our heart and can count every tear that has fell from our eyes. He knows the depth of our pain and anxieties. Surrender it all to Him. He can handle it better than we can.

for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]–
2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 AMP

If God promised it, we already have it. It’s yours. Prepare to obtain it.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 KJV

When you truly love God, you do your best to do all that He says. You desire to be like Him. Even when you come up short, your goal is ultimately to please Him. And if you are doing that, know that it’s ALL working together for your good! 🤗
